The Raven, The Thief & The Hangman

Working collaboratively with other designers – Stephen Leadbetter and Euan Procter – the aim of this album design was to push forward the re-brand of Rusty Shackle I began last year and incorporate it into the brand new album.

The album is a mixture of traditional folk songs, reinterpreted for a modern day audience (such is Rusty Shackle’s overall agenda!). As such, we decided that the artwork should focus on the main “traditional” characters from the album but the visual language needed to feel modern, exciting and vibrant.
